The study was commissioned by Hivos as part of the our policy and advocacy work on climate change, green energy and energy access. The study provides an overview of present climate finance flows towards decentralised energy access projects in order to gauge its potential for providing energy access to the poor, to identify what barriers exist and to consider how such barriers might be overcome.
